Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Onshore OIM, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain a collaborative working relationship between Offshore Operations and the wider Onshore support organisation, creating common understanding and purpose.
* Ensure process safety and production risks are understood and recorded accurately and associated actions to mitigate and/or resolve risks are in place and regularly reviewed.
* Contribute to the development of operating strategies including reservoir management, well operations, production processes, logistics strategies, decommissioning and maintenance philosophy, that ensure the optimum benefit from the Company assets.
* Ensure effective implementation of the company's Standards and Procedures within the Morecambe Offshore Fields
* Plan and ensure the availability of optimum manning levels and necessary levels of competence to effect safe and efficient operations, carrying out regular assessment programmes to maintain standards.
* Drive continual improvement of Operational performance including control of work, maintenance execution, 4W planning, NUI operations etc.
* Ensuring planning gate criteria is met for activities entering the 3M planning window, confirming actions are in place to allow efficient progression of work through the 4W gate criteria and into the 4W plan.
* Drive efficient Delivery through effective planning and integration of all operations in the 4W plan: production, maintenance, well services, support services, drilling, diving/ROV and construction work within the Fields Support the duty OIM in the field ensure compliance with the legal and management system obligations placed upon the OIM, to secure the health, safety and welfare of all offshore personnel, assisting and Leading the drive for an Incident Free Workplace and building a culture of Care through effective control mechanisms, ensure attainment of the objectives defined within the company's Business Management System including ORA, Deferral, Budget planning etc.
* From time to time provide cover for the CPC OIM and 'person to act in place of' as required by the Business. Regular offshore visits in support of Business Objectives and continuous Improvement activities will be required.
* Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager in accordance with Delegation of Authority.
* Act as Operations focal point for Capital and Decommissioning projects providing operational input to projects ensuring operational constraints and opportunities are built into Morecambe projects.
* Provide operational input and guidance to the Shutdown and Brown field Mods Team, supporting the Shutdown Steering Committee with Operational related actions and decisions. Provide support to the Operations resources seconded into the shutdown team.
* Promotes a positive HSE culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the company's CMAPP and HSES Policy.
* Performs nominated emergency response role/duties and maintains the necessary competencies to perform these duties.
* Role will be a rotational onshore support OIM at the Aberdeen office and will rotate (and provide cover to) the field based OIM.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree preferred, however not essential with the right experience.
* The range of activities undertaken to support offshore demands an extensive breadth of knowledge including the legislation associated with such activities, as it places a particularly strong onus on the job holder in terms of responsibility and accountability.
* The post demands in depth experience of the oil and gas industry including Significant experience within offshore operations at supervisory level to manage the diverse range of activities.
* Current valid Offshore Survival, Offshore Medical and MIST
* Competent and formally appointed duty holder representative / Offshore Installation Manager for the company as required by (Management and Administration) Regulations 1995 Regulation 6.
