Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Discipline Engineer (FEED through Construction/Commissioning: FPSO), based in Aberdeen.

The candidate must have recent Offshore, Oil and Gas experience and be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for identifying and delivering all of mechanical scopes on the FPSO
* Oversight of FEED contractor mechanical team
* Responsible for ensuring topsides FEED scope is delivered on time and packages specified for EPC and OEM engagement.
* Responsibility through EPC phase
* Identify key interfaces and actively manage any identified to resolution
* Escalate blocked issues to the Engineering Manager for further support in the resolution
* Identification of risks and opportunities that may negatively/positively impact the project

Experience & Qualifications:
* Extensive and demonstrated experience in greenfield and brownfield mechanical scopes
* Significant demonstratable experience in the design and specification of mechanical packages; ideally High-speed rotating equipment located on FPSOs, including upgrades and new equipment as part of brownfield modules or packages. Including Water Injection Pumps, compressors and Gas Turbines.
* FPSO experience
* Held previous lead role or similar for operators
* Knowledge and experience of all project phases and experience in taking a mechanical package from FEED to construction.
* Hands on commissioning experience
* Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
