Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Learning and Development Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Act as the focal point for the administration and coordination of learning and development programmes, training, further education/qualifications and other organisational development initiatives.
* Be the main point of contact for outsourced training administration services, including training and competence management systems.
* Makes sure reporting and records are up to date and that data quality is maintained. Co-ordinate internal training courses including room bookings, course materials, etc.
* Work with the Competence Adviser and key contracting companies to verify compliance of training and competence-related company and duty holder requirements
* Ensure all queries from employees, managers and external parties are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
* Assist with the coordination, communication and roll-out of the annual performance management process.
* Work with the L&D Business Partner to support the onboarding / induction process relating to performance management, training and learning and development.
* Develop effective relationships and work with service providers on project-related work, e.g., training providers, consultants and other suppliers, and ensure quality and value of these services and products.
* Provide support with the recording of data and measures, conducting analysis, identifying trends and suggesting appropriate interventions alongside the HR Business Partner - L&D. Compile L&D reports and distribute where appropriate to the business. Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms.
* Provide support for organisational projects including leadership and management development and team-building events.
* Works closely with HR team members to help plan and support projects and initiatives.
* Raise purchase orders and relevant documentation, ensuring financial processes are followed.
* Continuously develop own knowledge and skills through professional development and keep up to date with learning and development best practice and developments.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Understanding of industry and legislative training requirements for offshore workforce. Strong learning, development and training administration and coordination skills, with experience of training management systems.
* Practical knowledge and understanding of general learning procedures and practices.
* Customer focus with ability to build and maintain good relationships.
* Must understand the customer's business, seek mutually beneficial solutions for both business and customers and be willing to challenge where appropriate.
* General understanding of competence frameworks and links between training and competence.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative.
* Experience of liaising with internal and external parties, at au levels, in the provision of learning and development services and support.
* ff literate: HR Systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to intermediate level.
* CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification (although not essential)
