Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Lead Document Controller on a contract basis. The position will be based in Surrey.

We are looking for a contract Lead Document Controller in Surrey (likely to be 5 days a week in the office).

Job Description:

Working under the direct supervision of the Project Controls Manager, the Lead Document Controller is responsible for the information flow between all internal and external parties, in accordance with the requirements of the project contract and work instructions.

Key duties include:-

  • Develop and write work instructions and procedures.
  • Supervise the day to day activities in Document Control.
  • Resolve system issues/discrepancies and actively chase individuals to resolve problems.
  • Liaise with the project team, project management and site construction team daily.
  • Support the client and external vendors.
  • Prepare and develop the project MDR.
  • Set-up document workflows and approvals.
  • Communication and training to internal disciplines to understand the project documentation requirements.
  • Produce regular status reports for the project team.
  • Work closely with the wider project teams to support project documentation requirements.
