Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of HSEQ Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Principal point of contact for all UKCS regulatory matters, leading offshore regulatory inspections and responding to regulatory letters in a time-efficient manner.
* Provide direction in HSEQ matters to the onshore and offshore Operations teams, and the relevant due diligence during relevant HSEQ activities.
* Provide direction and supervision in HSEQ matters to their direct reports and to the wider operations team.
* Provide direction and guidance to the Management team on matters of regulatory compliance and way forward for the asset.
* Ownership, update and ongoing maintenance of the installation Operational Safety Case.
* Arrange and lead incident investigation teams and ensure that such investigations are conducted in a thorough and timely manner.
* Disseminate offshore incidents and share incidents, actions and way forward with the onshore team.
* Host lessons learned sessions with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure, as far as practicable, that similar incidents to not re-occur.
* Ensure accurate data collection, collation and thereafter timely reporting of HSEQ statistical data on all facets of regulatory monitoring to both statutory bodies and corporate functions.
* Arrange and participate in required HSEQ audits onshore, offshore and at subcontractor locations.
* Monitor and report on implementation and close-out of corrective action measures associated with HSEQ matters.
* Develop and coordinate safety training programmes for onshore and offshore staff.
* Counsel Managers and supervisors on safety matters and contribute to safety meetings as required.
* Communication of HSEQ related information throughout the organisation.
* Regular visits offshore to represent onshore Management team.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Formal qualification in Occupational and/or Technical Safety and/or Process Safety.
* Experience in the role of HSEQ Team Leader/Manager in a Duty Holder/Contractor environment.
* Involvement in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a UKCS installation Operational Safety Case
* Experience of Floating Production & Storage Operations in the UKCS.
* Comprehensive knowledge of UKCS offshore regulatory regime together with the associated Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality processes in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry.
* Experience of associated internationally recognised Quality, Environmental and Occupational Safety Standards, e.g. ISO, International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and ISM (International Safety Management) regulations, requirements and best practices.
* Experience in conducting incident investigations and reporting - both onshore and offshore.
* Ability to effectively manage key financial issues that impact HSEQ functions and the business.
* Ability to prepare budget projections and provide input to proposals and be proficient in verbal communications, presentation and report writing.
* Should have solid leadership and team building qualities, sound interpersonal skills and be culturally aware of working with a multinational work force.
* Proven experience in dealing with offshore regulators (OMAR).
* Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience and proficient use of an assets Synergi system.
