Job Title: HSE Advisor
Location: Shetland - Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT)

Overview:
This position will form part of the wider UK HSE Team and will be offered on a 2/2 rotational role.

Responsibilities:
* Promote a pro-active HSE culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all team members.
* Demonstrate active safety leadership at the work face, build trust with the workforce, and ensure all local policies and procedures are being adhered to.
* Point of contact for the provision of advice and assistance to the site team on all HSE matters.
* Facilitate proactive HSE engagement and communication between the home office and site team, including facilitation of HSE Construction calls.
* Participate in worksite and permit audits.
* This role will require proactive engagement with Client HSE Team to ensure a collaborative approach to HSE management at the site. This may include the need to interface for studies, workshops, investigations, reporting, data gathering, and general client liaison.
* Guide construction personnel on ways to maintain good, safe working practices.
* Ensure project contractors' on-site work is safely in line with the client's project expectations.
* Carry out on-site safety audits on project contractors.
* In conjunction with the Project HSE Manager provide Technical HSE input and or facilitation of all work scopes providing engineering & design discipline support and support to all risk-related activities; including support to Work Pack Engineers in the development of HIRAs.
* Promptly alert line and functional management for all accidents and incidents. Involvement in all incident investigations and ensure that findings are reported, corrective and preventive actions raised, and lessons learned developed and appropriately shared.
* Ensure that the worksites have robust systems and procedures implemented that demonstrate compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and that a regular audit schedule is integrated into the Project Assurance Plan.
* Support the Project HSE Manager in the development and implementation of Project HSE objectives
* Monitor and evaluate project HSEA activities (e.g., improvement plans, incident trends, best practice development, etc.)
* Support the Project HSE Manager to plan and deliver project assurance activities (e.g., audits, Major Accident Hazard sessions, self-verification, site inspections, and campaigns). Make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
* Ensure that the Project demonstrates compliance with Company standards and client interface arrangements.
* Provide positive support and coordination for the Portfolio on HSE issues and promote the adoption of HSE best practices and incorporating safety alerts and lessons learned.
* Development of HSE material and campaigns for knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices.
* Develop and deliver HSE training and coaching to site-based teams.
* Input to Monthly HSE reporting which includes performance, incident stats and trends, campaign activities, and shared learning.
* Collaborate with the client Project HSE team to build relationships and share best practices across business and projects.
* Promotion of the client values and project health, safety, environmental, quality, and ethics policies and procedures.
Project specific requirements
* A general understanding of methods to execute projects and project FEED, Execute, commissioning, and handover.
* Contribution to key project activities such as vendor reviews, vendor workshops, inductions, HAZID, Design Reviews, Constructability Reviews, etc.
* Experience in HSE and risk management in a project environment - identify opportunities for improvement.
* Be the point of contact for HSE Leadership Visits (from the home office) to the site.
* Work with minimal guidance and work closely with the Project HSE manager and site-based team to deliver and meet our client's needs and expectations.

Qualifications:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent).
* Incident Investigation/Root Cause Analysis Qualification.
* Auditor Qualification.
* IOSH Qualification.
* HSE, site-based experience.
* In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems, and best practice.
* Site-based experience.
* Experience in Construction Projects.
* A general understanding of methods to execute projects and project FEED, Execute, commissioning, and handover.
* Experience relating to key project activities such as vendor reviews, vendor workshops, inductions, HAZID, and Design.
