HR Compliance Specialist

6-12 months contract (desire to have someone FTE long-term)

$34/HR

M-F onsite opportunity

North Chicago, IL

Orion Group is hiring an HR Compliance Specialist that will provide versatile support to various HR Operations initiatives and serve as a trusted resource our pharmaceutical client in North Chicago.

HR Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Operations initiatives/processes related to employee data related inquiries in support of the business
  • Provide support for Audit intake process - this person will support audits globally (Statutory audits; financial; SOX audit - when there is a need for payroll or demographic data).

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in HR, HR systems, and a strong understanding of how to run reports, organize and analyze HR data.

Other HR Compliance Specialist Qualifications include:

  • Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business.

*Ability to analyze and review inquiries received by the compliance organization; determine data needed and understand the sensitive nature of the information being requested and shared

  • Previous HR, Payroll, or Talent Acquisition experience required
  • Workday experience is a significant plus - in this role contractors will be pulling reports, reviewing the data and analyzing information requests that are received from the business).
  • Project management or business experience a plus
