Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Engineer, Flexible Pipe on a contract basis. The position will be based in Hampshire.

The business performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support its parent worldwide. The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke.

The client has put this role inside of IR35 which means that your options would be to go PAYE or umbrella.

In this case, contractors must attend the office at least 8 days a month; this is increased slightly depending on project workloads. Often this constitutes 2 days a week but the exact days are agree between the contractor and the manager.

Experience in the technical design of unbounded flexible flowlines and risers and associated ancillaries from preliminary engineering through to detailed design with knowledge of the main top sides, and installation interfaces

Knowledge of mechanical finite analysis software for example Ansys, Abaqus and Cosmosworks.

Be familiar with the relevant international codes and subsidy standards for flexible pipes in particular API17J, API 17LI, API17B, and API17K.

Candidates will require a degree in an engineering discipline.
