Job description

Main tasks and responsibilities

Strategy

  • Align the IT roadmap and IT organization's strategies with RPI & Plastics business imperatives
  • Prepare IT investment and operating plan in alignment with RPI & Plastics strategic initiatives / objectives
  • Analyze current supply and demand for IT skills versus future demand & provide sourcing recommendations
  • Establish sourcing strategy for the IT organization and develop the sourcing governance model
  • Manage IDS OQ RPI workforce planning, IT skills and IT career development in coordination with People's function
  • Plan and oversee the successful roll-out of IT services
  • Develop overall technology architectural direction for OQ RPI IDS portfolio
  • Support in developing of sourcing strategies and procurement policies in alignment with OQ's global procurement department

Governance

  • Define roadmap and drive execution of transformational technology initiatives to evolve the portfolio towards desired state
  • Develop and maintain the entire support structure for delivering IT services
  • Lead the performance management process, including the definition of KPI's, for the IDS department and its employees
  • Support the IDS Department to improve documented policies and procedures
  • Lead the internal communication of IT in alignment with Corporate Communication
  • Serve and provide secretarial services to IT governance forums

EA

  • Create and maintain the Enterprise Architecture governance and framework for IT
  • Define target state blueprints for application and technology architecture
  • Perform solution architecture design review across all phases of IT project lifecycles

Risk

  • Identify and mitigate business risks for continues service operations
  • Lead efforts to support IT audits, Risk Management, BCP and Compliance process

Compliance

  • Negotiate, agree, and manage IDS contracts with suppliers in coordination with Procurement function.

Education requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications for this position is a Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, computer science, or Engineering.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF, COBIT, CGEIT, ITIL),
    • Program Management (e.g. PRINCE, PMP).

Background and experience

  • 10+ years' experience, in IT related field in energy/oil & gas or industrial organisation.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT Strategy, IT Program Management, Enterprise Architecture, IT governance, IT investment management & prioritization, IT financial management, and IT talent management
  • Experience in IT Strategy & Management
  • Experience in portfolio management and performance monitoring practices and methodologies
  • Business case development and supply chain assessment / strategy.
  • Experience in the supervision and development of staff and management of contractors.
