Job description

Orion Technology is seeking a Data Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team working on the digitalisation of a Project. In this role, you'll play a key part in transforming current document-centric commissioning processes into a modern, data-driven approach. You'll leverage your expertise in data management and PLM tools (ideally Dassault 3DX or equivalent) to:

What you'll do:

  • Help convert commissioning documents into a structured database ideally using the Dassault 3DX or equivalent PLM tool.

  • Develop solutions to automate this process for maximum efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot technical challenges related to the data transformation program.

  • Assist commissioning engineers by identifying and initializing the data they need, acting as a liaison between them and developers.

  • Organize and model data in the PLM tools to support various tasks, including creating commissioning procedures and standard testing method catalogues.

  • Ensure data quality within the PLM tools and promote best practices.

  • Extract and format data to meet different technical needs.

  • Bridge the gap between the technical team and the PLM tool-related teams, handling customization, debugging, and project management tasks.

  • Become a key user within the commissioning team, providing support and guidance to colleagues on using the PLM tool effectively.

We're looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field.

  • Proven experience with PLM tools, databases, data management, and information systems.

  • Programming and dashboarding skills, with a strong understanding of data visualization.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment with competing demands, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
