Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of CP Advisor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
o Strong Contract Management Skills - Value protection, stakeholder management, relationship management and understanding of contractual terms and conditions
o If required Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with Suppliers in accordance with the CMCP as an overall 'guidance'.
o Ensure delivery & effectively manage contracts while continuously drive value improvement targets.
o Identify, develop & implement supply chain improvement opportunities and manage value protection.
o Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to company's personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas.
o Implementation of Contractor HSSE practices in close liaison with Contract Managers/Holders and Owners.
o Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders and collaboratively propose competitive solutions. This may involve constructively challenging the Business Demand &/or Procurement Practices to drive value and efficiency for the organization.
o Manage Supplier Relationship effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics (E.g.: HSSE, Operations, Cost). This would involve constructively challenging the Suppliers in terms of the contract delivery and performance as well. Build and maintain strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market.
o Ensure strong connect across the wider CP Organization to ensure continuous cross sharing, synergies and leverage of best practices.
o Ensure collaborative ways of working with Global Category Team (only relevant for certain spend categories).
o Provides support and guidance to other team members to ensure delivery of results.
o Builds effective working relationships with others and makes a constructive contribution within immediate team.
o Ensure application of the End to end (E2E) CMCP process, using commercial judgement, common sense and a simplification mind-set, understanding the difference between non-negotiable compliance elements (Safety, E&C, Code of Conduct, Law) and CP operating practices, while always keeping enterprise business value in focus.
o Various interface management which includes internal (Business Stakeholders, Global Category Team, wider CP Team) & external (Government officials, Suppliers, Contractors) that would require excellent collaboration and close cooperation.

Duties to assist with E invoicing project as we transition from manual invoice processing to automation:
* Create SOPS for E invoicing processing
* Carry out E invoice system testing
* Champion the change to the business
* Trouble-shoot system issues and identify system improvements to meet user and business requirements.



Experience & Qualifications:
o A degree level (Business/Engineering) and relevant proven experience within CP.
o Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance is a 'must have' in all CP
o Proven track record of Subsea execution excellence & delivering results.
o Subsea experience is an advantage with knowledge of the Subsea market.
o Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.
o Proven experience in contract negotiations & complex tender evaluation.
o Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues.
o Highly driven, 'can do', inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner
o Is understood and is credible at all levels
o Focused on tangible value outcomes for the enterprise, translates strategy to outcomes
o Brings external market/supplier into the conversation (curiosity)
o Collaborates and integrates within CP and with business partners.
o Understands business and speaks business language
o Has effective influencing skills and can flex their style to audience
o Proven track record of commercial acumen
o Continuous improvement and simplification mindset
o Strong and Proven Interpersonal, Influencing & Stakeholder Management Skills.
o Ability to cope with complexity & uncertainty and proven adaptability.
