Job description

Due to expanding business needs and continued growth, our Client currently have a vacancy for a Cost Controller to join them on either a contract or staff basis.

The role will be based in the Strathcarron area, on the west coast of Scotland.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing project costs with main duties including:

  • Planning, developing, controlling and forecasting project budgets

  • Verifying supplier invoices

  • Reviewing expense reports to ensure that expenses are reasonable and appropriate

  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure all costs are accurately tracked

  • Conducting cost analyses to identify if costs can be reduced or eliminated

  • Collecting cost data from suppliers or subcontractors to track material costs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential.

  • The successful applicant must be self-motivated and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Assisting with quotations, invoicing and budget control will be a part of this post.

  • Competency in Microsoft packages is essential.
