Our esteemed client is looking to onboard an Area Sales Manager - Food & Beverage on a permanent basis. This client is the membrane filtration specialist within Filtration Group and has more than 50 years of experience in developing membranes and filtration systems. They support their customers' filtration needs with one of the widest membrane portfolios in the industry (tubular, spiral-wound and hollow fiber membranes ranging from MF to RO). As well, we are offering complete, tailored filtration systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Based in the Netherlands, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

  • Customers and partners acquisition and support, acting as a trusted advisor and solving problems (both pre- and post-sale);
  • Developing and maintaining customers, partners and influencers relationships;
  • Creating new business opportunities in new and existing markets;
  • Overview of sales and order intake within the territory;
  • Check customer's requirements for technical, economic and temporal feasibility;
  • Budget estimation in conjunction with Project Manager and writing proposals of sales projects and trials;
  • Internal and external support of sales projects up to the delivery of products and trials up to their conclusion;
  • Preparation of quotes for standard products including Modules & Membranes to OEM's etc.
  • Effectively closing orders and negotiating pricing terms and conditions;
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through the entire sales cycle;
  • Hitting and exceeding, mutually agreed sales goals and objectives within the assigned territory, aligned to the company's Strategic and Marketing Plans;
  • Preparing customer/business reports for internal use and keeping customer records;
  • Developing a thorough knowledge of PCI Membranes' products and applications;
  • Working collaboratively with the internal stakeholders (such as Marketing, Applications, Projects, Production, R&D, etc.)

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. (M.Sc. preferred) in Chemical or Environmental Engineering;
  • Experience: 3+ years in a similar position, selling membrane filtration products and/or systems;
  • Expirience in branch Dairy, Juice or plant based alternatives to milk like Soya processing
  • Specific skills:

    • Able to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal);
    • Ability to meet customers face to face across the Territory as well as online
    • Prior membrane filtration experience (MF/UF/NF/RO);
    • Pilot trials planning and execution skills;
    • CRM software knowledge an advantage, but training will be given;
    • Clean and valid driver license in Europe.
