Orion Partner Plus are delighted to have been retained by a global leader in advanced Porous Solutions with the Filtration Industry.

Our esteemed client is looking to onboard an Applications Engineer on a permanent basis based in either Bautzen or Reinbek, Germany. The Applications Engineer serves as a crucial link between sales managers/customers and the Product Development Engineering (PDE) team. The primary focus is on understanding customer needs, applying existing products or technologies to meet those needs, and ensuring that the sales managers are supported in qualifying the right high-growth opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to the following);

- Sales Acceleration: Collaborate with the Commercial Team to assess project feasibility and strategic alignment, and qualifying incoming opportunities.

- Applications Expertise: Serve as the technical lead and foster relationships with customers, ensuring alignment between product development, market needs, and customer specifications.

- Innovation Advocacy: Collaborate to develop differentiated product solutions to establish the company as an expert in custom product development.

Minimum Requirements;

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or applications engineering role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and relevant technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 25% to support business development.
