Onshore Export Cable Engineer

This is a contract role (OUTSIDE IR35) based in London (hybrid).

Role Synopsis:

Our client is embarking on the development of offshore wind projects, contributing significantly to the UK Government's renewable energy targets. As a joint venture partner with a leading European firm, our client is seeking an Onshore Export Cable Engineer to support the UK Offshore Wind program. This role involves managing onshore export cables and associated civil works, contributing to the delivery of sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on civil and cable installation for onshore cable routes.
  • Manage internal and external studies and consultancies for engineering scopes.
  • Participate in the preparation of technical specifications and contracts.
  • Support design, FEED, construction, and consenting processes.
  • Manage internal interfaces and strengthen collaboration with other work packages.

Education / Training:

  • Master's degree or comparable qualification in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with extensive professional experience.

Experience & Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of civil works associated with cable installation.
  • Proficiency in CDM 2015, H&S Legislation.
  • Motivated, dedicated, and proactive with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and management is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel and strong team player with excellent communication skills.
