Job description

Mud Engineer - Rigs spanning East Texas, North Louisiana
Length of Assignment: Estimated at least 1 year
Will this role convert to FTE: Possibly, depends on performance and market
Expected start date: October 1, 2022
Shift, hours, rotation: Rotation 14x14; consultants get 18 hrs./ day for their 14-day hitch.


Top three skills needed to perform this role:
* Mud School Certificate
* Ability to speak knowledgeably to our customers
* Strong work ethic (majority of day spent outside)

Requirements not listed on posting:
* Good communication skills
* Good knowledge of computers and software
* Ability to work alone
* Good time management, rest when activity allows

Required certifications: PEC, Safeland
Machinery/tools used: General mud testing equipment

Interview Method: Phone interview to discuss experience and knowledge, then in person visit if needed.

Manager would like for individual to have at least 2 years of field experience as a mud engineer and have in possession an approved mud certificate from one of the major mud companies… MI, Baker, Baroid, Genesis, Newpark, Valence, others will be considered
Per Diem: Yes $25/ day for every day that we bill customer for service.
Mileage: $0.625… mileage equivalent of distance from the actual rig to the stock point servicing the rig… one way on relief days
Is housing provided while on site? Yes
