Job description

Orion Group are sourcing a Associate Survey Support Technician, for our client, a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services.

You will be working alongside Survey Support Engineers, assisting projects with the definition, procurement and equipment interfacing requirements for ROV and vessel deployed survey equipment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background in survey and electronic equipment, such as that gained in a technical / operations workshop environment. Subsea / energy industry knowledge required but offshore experience is not necessary for this role.

What are we looking for?

  • HNC or higher qualification in relevant electronics/electrical related discipline.
  • Experience / knowledge of hydrographic survey operations & equipment; desirable not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated with the commitment to learn and undertake development.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, builds collaborative relationships across the business.
  • Ability to work with detail and accuracy.
  • Good planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership of tasks while contributing to team activities.
  • Pro-active with a solutions-based approach, willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, will identify efficient work methods and processes.
  • Willingness to travel and attend vessel mobilisations as required.
