Offshore Installation Manager

28/28 Rotation - West Africa

The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) serves as the representative of the Duty Holder, overseeing the safety, health, welfare, and discipline of all personnel on installations within the 500-meter zone of the FPSO. They are responsible for managing Field Operations, including installation, subsea, and Wells activities, ensuring objectives are achieved safely, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner while upholding integrity and environmental standards. The OIM drives the Offshore Organization to meet annual EHS, production, maintenance, and budget KPIs, adhering to the Operations Management System and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the offshore organization in promoting a safety culture and achieving operational excellence.

  • Ensure offshore work activities adhere to company EHS and Quality standards.

  • Act as the offshore representative of the Operational Safety Case, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Develop and implement an installation EHS Plan to enhance health, safety, and environmental performance.

  • Maintain a high level of emergency response capability on the installation and act as an 'on-scene commander' during incidents.

  • Plan and control the safe and efficient operation of the FPSO, meeting safety case expectations and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with Project and Integrated Execution Project teams to maintain asset integrity and uptime targets.

  • Coordinate with 3rd Party Contractors to ensure adherence to our client's standards in various operational aspects.

  • Manage annual budget line items and provide input to the budgeting process.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in operating and maintenance practices.

  • Initiate improvements in plant, equipment, and working practices to enhance installation performance.

  • Ensure workforce competency through training and development initiatives.

  • Lead drills and exercises to test emergency response capabilities.

  • Oversee catering, accommodation, and production management services to meet expectations.

  • Report incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.

  • Perform performance management of direct reports and mentor local staff for succession planning.

Skills and Experience:

  • Essential knowledge in FPSO management, offshore safety, production operations, maintenance, integrity management, and deepwater drilling operations.

  • Extensive experience in the international offshore oil & gas industry.

  • Business/commercial experience is desirable.

  • Proven man-management capability and team-building skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Previous experience in a similar scope of work and responsibilities.

  • Ability to travel internationally and to offshore locations if required.

  • Proficient in computer literacy, especially with the "Office" software suite.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for contractor management and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
