Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor
Location - Rosyth
3-6 months contract - opportunity for permanent
Rate - £18 - £20 per hour PAYE
37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)


Reports to Logistics Operations Manager


Role Description/Purpose
Responsible for the cost-effective operations of all Warehouse & Logistics functions in line with company and customer requirements.

Qualifications/Experience

* Extensive knowledge of Warehousing & Logistics processes required.
* NC/SVQ level 2 in Warehousing Operations or equivalent
* A supervisory qualification would be an advantage
* Working knowledge of IFS (beneficial)


Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and action to ensure the safe custody, maintenance, security and accountability for all
material and equipment stored.
* Monitor & action all functions within logistics ensuring resources allocated as required.
* Monitor and control all internal/external storage areas, taking corrective action to ensure all
functions operate within the Health and Safety at work act.
* Optimise all allocated space within Logistics.
* Identify and establish best practice across all Warehousing & Logistics functions.
* Identify coach and develop all Logisticians in modern flexible working practices.
* Target, evaluate and report on key deliverables set by Logistics Manager.
* Involve & record all direct reports in H&S initiatives including review of all risk assessments
* Target zero accidents within all warehousing & Logistics functions.
* Actively seek to involve staff and employees in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor measure and take remedial action to ensure stock accuracy is maintained in line with
audit and business requirements.
* Monitor the utilisation and effectiveness of Logisticians to ensure customer expectations and
SLA's are maintained.
* Monitor report and return all Customer supplied equipment to required destination as requested in
line with audit requirements.
* Monitor, manage and resolve Goods-In queries within agreed time cycles.
* Manage all systems and databases used within warehousing & Logistics to ensure data integrity.
* Utilise KPI's to monitor and improve warehouse operations.
* Carry any additional tasks set by Logistics Operational Manager as requested.
