Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subsea Decommissioning Project Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Part of the company's Decommissioning and Projects directorate as the project and technical focal point for subsea equipment removal and decommissioning activities. Maintaining and enhancing the company's decommissioning activities and capabilities and liaising with the external decommissioning community as required.
* Responsible for all ongoing decommissioning initiatives, plans, risks, budgets and forecasts relating to all subsea equipment removal and decommissioning activities within the company.
* Responsible for assisting in the development and management of the company's subsea equipment decommissioning strategy, to deliver optimum value for individual fields and the overall business.
* Responsible for developing and managing the scope of work and schedule to enable the company's supply chain team to issue the ITT for a subsea engineering contractor to develop the scope, schedule and Class 2 estimate.
* Responsible for managing all technical aspects of the tendering and selection of relevant subsea engineering contractors.
* Lead technical solutions for subsea equipment removal and decommissioning to drive best value for the business.
* Manage and drive the performance of the subsea engineering contractor to ensure their deliverables are produced to the highest quality, are on schedule and within budget.
* Ensure compliance to company and regulatory standards and legislation.
* Assist with the management of all internal and external stakeholder groups associated with the subsea equipment removal and decommissioning.
* Management of all subsea equipment technical data for the company's owned assets as required.
* Liaise with the company's subsea engineering Technical Authority to support the subsea equipment decommissioning strategy and plan.
* Achieve company and personal HSSEQ targets for decommissioning activities.
* Provide proactive and visible HS & E leadership.
* Plan, coordinate and manage framing, reviews and workshops as required.
* Manage associated back-up information to support Decommissioning Programme/s, Comparative and Environmental Assessment applications.
* Work alongside the Subsea, Engineering and Projects teams to ensure of schedule and scope alignment with the wider decommissioning programmes.
* Providing technical support to the Decommissioning Programme managers, thereby acting as the subject matter expert for subsea equipment removals activity within the decommissioning directorate.
* Provide governance of Subsea equipment removals AFEs, budget tracking and reporting.
* Attend associated progress and governance meetings for any related work scopes.
* Attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly progress meetings, as and when required.
* Develop the agenda and chair regular progress meetings with the subsea engineering contractor and manage the resulting actions.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Significant UK Oil and Gas Industry subsea infrastructure experience within either an operator or a tier 1 contractor
* Master's Degree or higher in Engineering or Science
* Chartered Engineer, Registered Engineer, or equivalent
* Professional Body or Charted Institute Membership
* Considerable experience in Subsea Disciplines - Management responsibility highly preferable
* High level of knowledge and understanding of the UK Decommissioning regulatory regime
* Extensive project management leadership experience in subsea engineering projects
* Experience of successfully leading/managing other engineering professionals
* Proven ability to work effectively with senior management and influence/challenge senior management on strategic issues.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to positively influence colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Experience and knowledge of managing large scale subsea campaigns.
