Orion Partner Plus is proud to be retained by a global leader in cutting-edge technology for mesh solutions.

We are looking to attract a Process Engineer to design, implement, and oversee processes in our client's industrial automotive product division in Cambridge, Maryland. There is an attractive relocation package on offer.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Operations:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor efficient manufacturing processes and workflow for the industrial automotive product line.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Design tests of finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
  • Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues, report findings, and recommend solutions.
  • Work with appropriate departments to establish and maintain budget for industrial automotive division.
  • Prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Serve as a team member on corrective action teams; attending training and become proficient in the corrective action process.
  • Take proactive steps to propose, validate and implement continuous improvement to the department. Engage all department personnel in the improvement process.
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience within the automotive filtration sector.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in process engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD software.
  • Fundamental computer skills, including proficiency in database management, spreadsheet software, and word processing.
  • Working familiarity with IATF Standards.
  • Completion of formal Lean Manufacturing education is highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary to fulfil assigned duties.
