Job Title: Onshore/Offshore Geotechnical Supervisor

Location: Absheron Field, Sangachal Area

Job Type: Short-term Contract

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Onshore/Offshore Geotechnical Supervisor to join their team for a short-term project in the Absheron field. The successful candidate will oversee the geotechnical activities related to the full field development, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise onshore and offshore geotechnical operations, serving as the company's representative on-site.
  • Ensure safe execution of work in compliance with HSE regulations, with support from the company's HSE department.
  • Evaluate contractor performance in terms of personnel, equipment, processes, and HSE practices.
  • Assess the relevance and adequacy of the scope of work based on findings, anticipating and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Verify completion of scope of work and adherence to contractual specifications, norms, and standards.
  • Review CPT plots, sample descriptions, and soil logging, ensuring accuracy and quality of data.
  • Liaise with UXO consultants, permitting specialists, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed supervision reports and communicate findings within the company's reporting structure.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the geotechnical industry.
  • Previous experience as a Client Representative for international clients, preferably in geotechnical projects.
  • Strong understanding of HSE performance management and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Engineering diploma or equivalent qualification.

Duration and Schedule:

  • Expected work duration: Short-term
  • Rotational schedule with 28 days on-site rotation.
