Cost & Claims Manager - New Energy Project (Northern Spain)

Project Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cost & Claims Manager to join our team in Northern Spain. You will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of a new energy project by managing costs, claims, and project finances.

Responsibilities:

Cost Control:
Implement and maintain systems for issuing and tracking purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accurate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) allocation.
Manage SAP/WBS cost allocation and proactively identify and address variations.
Provide cost forecasts based on actual WBS data to support project managers.
Collaborate with project managers on the management of all claims and Contract Change Orders.

Procurement Management:
Oversee the Engineering procurement card program, ensuring appropriate usage and adherence to approval protocols.
Consolidate and report on project cost forecasts.
Maintain and update project data in Planisware and SAP/ARIBA systems.

General Duties:
Work in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Provide additional cost control support to projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma in Business Administration or a technical field (e.g., Engineering).
  • Experience in industrial projects, ideally in engineering or operations.
  • Fluency (written and verbal) in Spanish and English.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience with SAP and Ariba software.
  • Working knowledge of EHS standards and industry best practices.
  • The ability to perform tasks independently and in accordance with established procedures.

Location:
Northern Spain (exact location to be disclosed by early July).
Remote work available until the end of 2024, with onsite work required thereafter.

Business Travel:
Occasional business travel will be required. Expenses incurred outside of Spain will be reimbursed.
