Process Engineer – Specialty Paper & Non-Woven Technology
Location: Thuringia / Saxony Region
Travel: Occasional, to customers, suppliers, and technology partners
Our esteemed client is seeking a driven and technically skilled Process Engineer to support plant management and quality functions, bridging the gap between R&D and production. This is an exciting opportunity for a paper technologist or engineer with a strong analytical mindset and hands-on approach to play a key role in process optimization, project execution, and long-term technological development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of plant and quality projects, solving them professionally and efficiently.
- Perform process data analysis and provide actionable insights to support operational improvements.
- Lead long-term quality and process improvement projects, including CIP initiatives.
- Build in-depth expertise in inclined screen technology (priority) and deepen knowledge of multilayer technology.
- Act as a key point of contact for quality-relevant issues, including complex problem-solving and complaint resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the head of the non-woven machine and other cross-functional teams.
- Contribute industry know-how from the specialty paper sector to support continuous innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Paper Technology, Paper Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in the specialty paper or non-woven industry.
- Strong analytical skills and curiosity, with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Ability to systematically learn, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Persevering, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
- Curious, inquisitive, and motivated to understand complex processes.
- Strong problem-solving orientation with practical implementation capabilities.
- Team-oriented, approachable, and willing to engage across all levels of the organization.
- Occasional travel to customers, suppliers, and technology partners.
- Home preferably located in the Thuringia/Saxony region.
- Relocation package can be discussed.
