IT Generalist

IT Generalist | Location: Hendersonville, NC | On-Site

Partner Plus are working on an exciting opportunity with an established international manufacturing organisation to appoint an IT Generalist. This is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure across virtually every aspect of IT within a manufacturing environment.

Working as part of a small IT team, you'll support users and systems across multiple manufacturing locations while gaining exposure to infrastructure, networking, servers, ERP/MES, cybersecurity, hardware, software and IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT support across hardware, software and end-user systems
• Support laptops, PCs, tablets, servers, barcode scanners and printing equipment
• Perform Microsoft Active Directory administration and user/group management
• Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls and wireless devices
• Work with server virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
• Assist with ERP/MES administration, installation and troubleshooting
• Support VOIP/phone systems, cybersecurity monitoring and basic scripting
• Troubleshoot technical issues both on-site and remotely
• Support wider IT projects, system upgrades and infrastructure improvements

Ideal background

• Around 5+ years of IT experience within a manufacturing environment
• Previous ERP experience
• Broad hands-on knowledge across IT support, networking, hardware and systems administration
• Experience with Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, switches and firewalls
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
• PowerShell, C#/.NET, batch scripting or UNIX/Linux experience would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop

This is an on-site position in Hendersonville, NC, with a little travel required. You'll join a close-knit IT function where you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the wider manufacturing operation.
