Partner Plus is proud to be retained by a leading filtration and process equipment manufacturer, part of a global engineering group, in their search for a Drafter/Designer to be responsible for developing detailed assembly drawings and shop routings for vessels and related capital equipment.
Our client designs and supplies advanced filtration, separation, and coalescing solutions to the refining, oil & gas, power, chemical, and wider process industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and technically capable Drafter / Designer

Key Responsibilities
- Use company drawing standards on all designs.
- Utilize sales orders information to design Customer, Approval, Certified, As Built, and Detailed Fabrication drawings from bid to shop construction.
- Produce ASME Code Design Calculations, using Compress and internal files.
- Create Part Numbers and Bill of Materials utilizing various construction materials and system components. Work with project management personnel to ensure the product is produced to specifications.
- Required - AutoCAD software to assist in design of finished drawings of various vessels and attachments.
- 1+ years of related experience as a Drafter or Designer with AutoCAD.
- High School Diploma or GED and AutoCAD/Drafting graduate from a Technology School or equivalent.
- Pressure vessel or piping design experience required.
- Proficient with ERP systems and experience with analytical tools such as Excel
- SAP experience a plus.
- Optional - Prior experience with Solidworks is a plus and may be used on occasion.
- Design and release configure to order product designs that are more suited to scaling, standardization and value-added engineering practices. Design custom (engineered to order) products and projects, using the appropriate processes. Execute processes suited to customer and product segmentation (i.e., focus on “A” products/customers), as directed by management.
- Create shop routing packets for release to Fabrication and distribute code documentation including calculations, drawings and Travelers.
- Create Burning profiles for shop manufacturing of various parts.
- Highly organised, structured, and delivery-focused.
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proactive problem-solver who can work independently and remain effective under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Site-based role in Stockport.
