We are currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a busy project team supporting major subsea engineering and fabrication activities.
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality Document Control service across projects and departments, ensuring that documentation is accurately registered, controlled, distributed, maintained and archived in accordance with project and company procedures.

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a busy project team supporting major subsea engineering and fabrication activities.
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality Document Control service across projects and departments, ensuring that documentation is accurately registered, controlled, distributed, maintained and archived in accordance with project and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Control all documentation entering and leaving projects, including registration, numbering, filing and distribution through Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Maintain accurate and accessible project documentation to enable efficient retrieval of information.
- Maintain regular communication and interface with the Planning team.
- Produce and maintain the Project Master Document Register as required by the Project or Department Manager.
- Generate project documentation reports and provide management information as required.
- Support engineers and project personnel in the effective use of EDMS.
- Assist with the collation, formatting and issue of as-built dossiers.
- Manage the project/department-specific Document Control mailbox.
- Liaise with the Drawing Office to ensure the latest revisions of new and updated drawings are received and controlled.
- Liaise with client and subcontractor document controllers to ensure effective document exchange and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with external printing providers for project mobilisations, as-built documentation and other large-scale printing requirements.
- Archive project documentation in accordance with established document retention and archiving procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to new starters within the project team.
- Assist with the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Document Control procedures and process maps.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to support project requirements, including additional hours where necessary to meet mobilisation, project or documentation deadlines.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working in a Document Control position within an engineering, energy, oil & gas or similar environments
- A strong understanding of document control processes, systems and best practice.
- Experience managing technical documentation, drawings, registers and document transmittals.
- Experience working with engineering/project environment.
- The confidence and ability to communicate Document Control requirements effectively and ensure procedures are followed.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively with engineers, planners, project managers, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
