Site Operation Jobs
General Foreman
A general foreman on a construction site oversees day-to-day work, making sure crews are carrying out tasks safely, on schedule, and to the right standard. They also coordinate labour, materials, and equipment, and help solve problems that come up on site.
Project Managers
A Project Manager oversees day‑to‑day construction activities, coordinating contractors, suppliers and on‑site teams to keep the programme on schedule and within budget. They ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations, monitor quality and progress, and liaise with stakeholders and regulators to manage risks and resolve technical or contractual issues.
Site Agent
The Site Agent is often the overall leader for a section of the project on site. They plan, organise, direct, and coordinate the work, resources, programme, quality, and safety, and they commonly act as the main link between the contractor and client.
Site Engineer
Site Engineers oversee day-to-day work to make sure it follows the approved drawings, specifications, safety rules, and schedule. They also set out the site, check quality, solve technical issues, and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and the project team to keep the job moving smoothly.
Sub Agent
Supporting the Site Agent or Project Manager, a Sub Agent oversees specific parts of the works, coordinating subcontractors, and making sure the job is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They also handle site records, progress checks, and day-to-day problem solving on site.

Commercial and Support Jobs
Administrator
Administrators typically keep the project organised by handling documents, schedules, communication, and records. They also support compliance by tracking contracts, RFIs, change orders, and other paperwork so the site team can keep work moving smoothly and accurately.
Commercial Manager
A Commercial Manager on a construction site is responsible for the financial and contractual side of the project, making sure it stays profitable, within budget, and commercially protected. They typically manage costs, negotiate contracts, handle risks and claims, and monitor compliance with project terms and regulations.
Costing Clerk
Costing Clerks track and record project costs such as labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor spend, then compares them against budgets and estimates, while helping to code invoices correctly, prepare cost reports, and flag variances so managers can control spending and protect margins.
HR Advisor
Supporting managers and workers with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and ensuring policies and employment law are followed, HR Advisors also help handle issues like absence, grievances, training, and site-specific compliance such as health, safety, and workforce records.
Quantity Surveyor
A Quantity Surveyor is usually more hands-on with day-to-day cost control, take-offs, valuations, variations, and subcontractor payments, spending more time checking progress, measuring completed work, preparing valuations, and keeping the job within budget.
Senior Quantity Surveyor
A Senior Quantity Surveyor typically oversees bigger commercial responsibilities, sets strategy, manages risk, negotiates more complex contracts, and often supervises or mentors junior surveyors. They typically attend commercial meetings, deal with major variations, solve disputes, report to management or clients, and make decisions that affect margin and cash flow.

Health & Safety and Design Jobs
Design Engineer
Turning the project design into buildable plans, they supports the site team by answering technical queries, resolving design issues, and checking that work is being installed to specification and code. They also coordinate with contractors, architects, and other engineers to keep the build safe, practical, and aligned with the approved design.
Design Manager
Overseeing the entire design process from conceptualisation through to execution, ensuring designs are practical, compliant with regulations, and aligned with project timelines, budgets, and constructability needs. They coordinate stakeholders like architects, engineers, and contractors, track design progress, identify potential issues early, and facilitate communication to bridge design intent with on-site realities
Document Controller
They manage all project documentation, from drawings and contracts to specifications and reports, ensuring they are correctly filed, version‑controlled, and distributed to the right people at the right time. They also maintain document registers, support audits, and help keep information accurate and compliant so that design intent, approvals, and site activities are always aligned.
Health and Safety Advisor
Reporting the the HSE Manager, they are responsible for identifying hazards, carrying out risk assessments and inspections, and making sure safe working practices are followed. They also advise managers and workers on compliance, investigate incidents or near-misses, and help deliver safety training and corrective actions.
Health and Safety Manager
HSE Managers oversee risk assessments, site inspections, and safety procedures to prevent accidents and keep the project compliant with legal requirements. They also provide safety training, investigate incidents, and make sure workers, contractors, and supervisors follow safe working practices.
