The wind is blowing in the right direction as Orion Group are excited to announce their latest job requirements with a large volume of positions based in the central belt on a project to supply welders and platers to a number of fast growing renewables and energy projects taking place across Scotland.

The Group’s central belt office in Dunfermline are delighted with the opportunities and is looking to fill over 40 immediate roles for both experienced welders and platers.

Orion’s regional General Manager, Gary Scott commented, “ We’ve been working with our client for a number of years and we have built up a solid reputation in delivering the best in class personnel to a number of their engineering projects in both the Oil and Gas and Shipbuilding sector.

The roles Orion is recruiting for are welders with experience in 6GR Solid wire root, Flux Core fill & cap and platers with a good all round understanding and competence in the discipline. Candidates with experience working in the Oil & Gas sector would be advantageous but not essential.

Gary further added, “We appreciate the industry has seen some challenging times of late however it’s exciting to see a number of green shoots appearing across our industry and along with us working in the innovative and developing world of renewables right here in the heart of Scotland, we can look to the future in this ever expanding sector.
