Wet Painter (Industrial Paint Sprayer) – Ballygawley
Location: Ballygawley, County Tyrone, N. Ireland

We are seeking an experienced Wet Painter / Industrial Paint Sprayer to join our coatings team in Ballygawley. You will be responsible for preparing, priming and painting fabricated steel components and large machine assemblies used in mobile crushing and screening equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare steel components and assemblies through cleaning, sanding, masking and surface inspection.
• Apply primers, undercoats and topcoats using airless, conventional and HVLP spray equipment.
• Mix paints, hardeners and thinners in accordance with specifications.
• Ensure paint finishes meet required standards for colour, coverage, thickness and appearance.
• Inspect finished components and carry out touch-ups and repairs where required.
• Identify and report defects before and after painting.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment, paint booths and associated tools.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Support the movement and handling of components where trained and authorised.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements.

About You

• Previous experience as an Industrial Wet Painter, Spray Painter or Vehicle Refinisher.
• Experience using airless and conventional spray equipment.
• Good knowledge of paint preparation, mixing and application techniques.
• Understanding of coating thickness and quality requirements.
• Ability to work from paint specifications, engineering drawings and production instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Safety-conscious, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable: Experience painting large fabricated steel structures or heavy machinery, plus knowledge of two-pack epoxy/polyurethane systems, forklift or overhead crane experience.
