Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Wellsite Supervisor (P&A) based in Aberdeen. This is on a 12 month contract on a3/3 Rotation - UK Southern North Sea.
The Wellsite Supervisor (SSV) is accountable for ensuring safe and efficient well abandonment operations onsite for the Asset.
The SSV reports to the Well Operations Team Lead (WOTL). The position is remote based in the field and holds a senior position within the Onsite Operations P&A team responsible for the execution of the offshore P&A scope the of the companies SNS asset.
The SSV supervises the execution plans on their rig/unit ensuring operations are executed in a safe and efficient manner, delivering wells that meet the functional objectives and agreed value drivers. The SSV manages the day‐to‐day execution of the program; this includes efficient work planning, risk mitigation and contingency management. Operations will include, but not limited to drilling, completion, well intervention and P&A activities. Operations will be executed in compliance with COMPANY and local Standards and the SSV will lead by example in Personal and Process Safety.
Responsible for planning, logistics, supervision, and documentation of the execution of well work activities. Work closely with the engineers and Operations Team Leads to make well work decisions/recommendations including selection and optimization of services; materials; fluid systems; operational techniques, operational efficiencies, cost tracking, and management of project risks. Provide input on well programs, including details around HSSE, well control, equipment, contractors, etc.
Provide input and suggestions on service contracts to enable high performance. Manage contractor services in the field in-line with the contracting strategy and the goals of the contract management team. Serve as a focal point for HSSE management with the contractors and the evaluation of service quality.
Coaching and mentoring of staff and members of the rig-site team is fundamental to this role.

Technical competencies and leadership attributes requirements
- Extensive relevant industry experience, preferably within North Sea regulatory environment
- Valid IWCF Level 4 Supervisor or alternative (IADC WELLCAP).
- Possession of HUET CA-EBS (or Bosiet CA-EBS), UK Medical and MIST
- Demonstrable experience in offshore operations, preferably with Jack-Up rigs.
- Demonstrable experience in offshore Abandonment operations.
- Experience in Wells, with a proven track of delivering a strong HSE and E&C onsite culture with expertise in managing Process Safety, Personal Safety and MOC (Management of Change) across a diverse, multi-cultural environment throughout the work execution.
