Our Oil & Gas Operator client is currently recruiting for the position of Well Integrity Data Technician for a 12 month PAYE contract, based in Aberdeen.
 
Running initially from August 2026 – August 2027, candidates should have a background in managing Well Integrity and Subsurface/Geo Data and be familiar with eWIMS, SAPPM, EDM etc. A working knowledge of Well Failure Models is highly advantageous.
 
Please note that candidates should have a background in the oil & gas sector and be able to work in the Aberdeen offices at least 3 days a week. (the role cannot be worked remotely)  
 
 
Purpose:
 
Well Integrity Data Technician to support the safe and compliant operation of wells across the Southern North Sea (SNS) asset.
This role sits within the Wells and Subsurface team and plays a key part in ensuring that well integrity data, systems, and reporting are accurate, up to date, and aligned with regulatory and company requirements. You will work closely with Production Technology, Wells, and Operations teams, supporting both day-to-day integrity management and longer-term asset performance.
 
Key responsibilities:
Operate and maintain well integrity systems (e.g. eWIMS, SAP, FSR, EDM), ensuring data accuracy and quality Maintain compliance of well stock in eWIMS, including tracking deviations and isolations
Coordinate timing of Well Integrity Tests (WIT) and Subsurface Integrity Tests (SIT), interfacing with SAP planning
Support well integrity technical reviews, risk assessments, and well change processes Support updates to the Well Failure Model (WFM), MAASP limits, and operating envelopes Provide QA/QC support for well handover and acceptance activities
Manage well integrity dashboards and reporting, including monthly KPI tracking and trend analysis Maintain document control and integrity records within company systems (e.g. LMS, SharePoint) Maintain regulatory compliance for suspended wells and notifications in WONS
Ensure data from well interventions and P&A activities is correctly captured, stored, recorded internally and submitted to regulators
Support external reporting requirements (e.g. stewardship surveys)
Act as focal point for updates to well schematics, tree and wellhead drawings
Maintain and update production technology and reservoir databases (e.g. OFM, well events)
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for well and WRFM performance
 
Skills and experience:
Background in well integrity, wells operations, or production technology Experience with well integrity systems (e.g. eWIMS, SAP PM, EDM) Familiarity with Well Failure Models and integrity testing (WIT/SIT) Familiarity with the UK regulatory environment and requirements Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Good communication skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
Experience working with data management systems in a technical or operational environment Strong data quality mindset and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple data sources and ensure consistency across systems Experience supporting regulatory reporting or audits
Power BI or data visualisation experience
