About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welfare Lead to spearhead worker welfare and safety communication programs across a diverse portfolio of large-scale onshore and offshore projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a positive safety culture, ensuring welfare compliance, and supporting the well-being and competency of a workforce that will ultimately number tens of thousands.

About the Role

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Safety, Health, Environment, Security, Engineering, or a related field; or
- NEBOSH National/International Diploma, SHES-related NVQ Level 5, or British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma.
- Minimum Prior (Worker Welfare) experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in a supervisory, acting, or oversight capacity with responsibility for personnel or vendors.
- Experience working with major contractors, service companies, or large-scale operating organizations.
Welfare Program Leadership
- Develop and support the implementation of the Worker Welfare Management System, including technical standards, procedures, and welfare initiatives.
- Ensure consistent application of welfare standards across all project sites.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-level welfare matters, escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with welfare requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate regular site visits, camp inspections, and welfare audits in line with established action plans.
- Monitor accommodation, catering, medical, hygiene, and recreational standards at worker camps and project sites.
- Track welfare KPIs, consolidate data, identify trends, and support continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing frameworks for welfare processes, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
- Support Welfare Committee and Safety & People Council operations, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Assist in developing welfare communication materials and awareness campaigns.
- Provide logistical support for welfare-related events, campaigns, and summits.
- Facilitate and monitor feedback channels such as surveys, suggestion boxes, and toolbox talks to gather workforce input.
- Collaborate with contractor HSE and welfare personnel to maintain high welfare standards.
- Strong understanding of SHES worker welfare management systems.
- Experience supporting welfare programs across complex, multi-site project environments.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
