Position: Welding / NDT Inspector
Location: Ravenna
Reporting to: Deck Yard QC Superintendent

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Welding / NDT Inspector to monitor, inspect, and ensure that all welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements. The role involves reviewing welding procedures, inspecting welds, coordinating NDT activities, and maintaining full traceability throughout fabrication and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications; conduct fit-up and visual inspections.
  • Monitor welding parameters, joint preparation, consumables, and interpass temperatures.
  • Schedule, witness, and evaluate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT) per ITP.
  • Identify and report non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain weld logs, inspection reports, NDT results, and documentation for traceability.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports and support final quality dossier compilation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW) and codes (API, ASME, AWS).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, isometrics, and weld maps.
  • Skilled in NDT evaluation and documentation.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
