Job Title: Welder Supervisor (Site)

Reports to: Production Manager (Site) / Offshore Welding Supt. (Site)

Location: Onshore & Offshore Operations

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Responsible for overseeing welding activities in the, supporting the development of welding procedures and providing an interface with Operations Department.

The Pipeline Group (PG) Welding Foreman is part of the delivery team for all pipeline welding projects within Subsea 7 and is the focal point within PG towards delivery. The welding Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the welds meet the criteria for all relevant projects and of the work related to the welding of pipes within the PG scope of work as well as helping to ensure that all projects objectives, targets, on safety, production and schedule are maintained targets of safety, production.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.


SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Coordinate Welding activities and oversee welding operations in :
• delegate work effectively ensure welding activities are effective and monitor completion of targets
• ensure welders adopt the SQP values and culture of the company
• monitor welding performance, respond to welding issues and trouble shoot as required
• Monitor team performance and take action as required.
• provide technical expertise and support development work on welding methodology

Provide leadership and direction for welding operations across the company:
• act as interface with Welding Superintendents in Operations Department
• respond to welding issues and trouble shoot as require
• lead the training of different nationalities in the use of automatic welding system
• Evaluate lessons learned, identify potential quality improvements and participate in systems/procedures development and improvement programs.

Support Welding staff development and performance review activities as required.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Qualifications and experience:
• Experience of Manual and automatic welding operations and techniques at Supervisory level –
• Safety Leadership Training Course
