Location – Inverness
THE ROLE
Warehouse Manager
5 days over 7, variable start time between 6am-8am depending on operational requirements

• Management or supervisory experience (preferably from the FMCG sector)
• Understanding of food safety standards preferred

• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, safe systems of work, and experience enforcing compliance in a warehouse environment
• Training & development understanding
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
You will lead your teams from the front, showing and encouraging all colleagues to work efficiently, correctly, swiftly and safely, while promoting the values and expectations of the business through leadership, training and key performance indicators.This role will consist of:
• Managing and monitoring key operational KPIs of the warehouse team including order accuracy, pick rates, productivity, stock integrity, waste levels and stock discrepancies.
• Managing, motivating and developing warehouse operatives during your shift.
• Being responsible for overseeing Company expectations of the team including carrying out individual performance appraisals and identifying and coordinating training needs.
• Maintaining a high level of effective communications and cascading of relevant information daily.
• Identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement within warehouse operations.
• Producing relevant reports and statistical information for submission to senior managers.
• Ensuring all orders processed are picked and packed accurately.
• Operating the Company IT system to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Managing workflow to meet cut-off times and customer delivery requirements.
• Promoting strong housekeeping and warehouse organisation standards.
• Ensuring safe systems of work are always followed.
• Conducting checks, reporting incidents and supporting risk management processes.
• Promoting a safety-first culture across your team.
• Leadership having a direct impact on service and performance.
