Orion Group has been exclusively retained to identify a Utilities Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for electrical systems and power distribution at one of the largest private microgrids in the U.S.
This pivotal role will lead the strategic planning, technical direction, and system expansion of medium and low voltage infrastructure, supporting both legacy systems and the next wave of electrification.
Master planning for electrical distribution and asset hardening
MV/LV power systems, substations, generators, protection & arc flash studies
Project & contractor oversight and customer-driven upgrades
New York Independent System Operator coordination for market participation
Cross-functional engineering support (buildings, safety, compliance)
B.S. in Electrical Engineering
7–10 years’ experience in utilities, generation, or industrial power systems
PE License (NY) preferred or ability to obtain.
