Transportation & Installation Lead (Pre-commissioning & De-commissioning)

We are currently looking for an experienced Transportation & Installation (T&I) Lead – Pre-Commissioning & De-Commissioning to lead and supervise pipeline pre-commissioning and offshore de-commissioning activities for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise pipeline pre-commissioning activities covering flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrostatic testing, inline inspection, dewatering, drying and nitrogen purging.
Lead offshore de-commissioning activities for existing live pipelines, including pipeline isolation, depressurization, flushing, cleaning and subsea pipeline removal.
Manage the Contractor’s complete pipeline pre-commissioning and de-commissioning scope from engineering planning through offshore execution and closeout.
Review and approve Contractor philosophies, execution strategies and method statements.
Review engineering calculations for hydrotest pressure, test duration, fill volumes, pig train configuration, dewatering flow rates, drying criteria, nitrogen requirements and temporary equipment.
Support engineering teams in defining de-commissioning boundaries, pipeline status, contents and isolation requirements.
Coordinate with Contractors, Offshore Operations, VMT, diving, ROV, marine and HSE teams to ensure safe execution.
Ensure activities comply with SIMOPS, HSE, environmental and marine requirements.
Lead and monitor marine vessel mobilization for offshore execution.
Ensure quality execution onboard vessels and JUBs.
Manage punch lists, technical queries, site queries and non-conformances.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to offshore teams during execution.
Support offshore changes, deviations and unexpected field conditions, including development of recovery plans and Management of Change.
Ensure safe subsea de-commissioning using technical plugs and other de-commissioning tools.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Subsea Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of offshore installation experience on vessels in Transportation & Installation activities, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Site Supervisor onboard installation vessels, with relevant experience in subsea de-commissioning activities.
Extensive knowledge of subsea pipeline pre-commissioning and de-commissioning, pipeline pigging, subsea isolation plugs and de-commissioning tools.
Extensive experience in pre-commissioning vessel supervision.
Strong knowledge of applicable international standards, including DNV-ST-F101, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API and ISO pipeline/offshore standards.
Experience in submarine pipeline de-commissioning, including the use of technical isolation plugs for safe isolation and abandonment.
Previous experience with major operators or LNG company and knowledge of LNG company PTW systems would be desirable.
