Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Training & Competency Advisor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

Proactively ensure compliance (corporate & legislative) in process, documentation, policy and behaviour

Work with Technical Authorities and Training & Competency (T&C) champions to ensure full understanding and implementation of competency processes/recording

Liaise with other business support areas to ensure they provide, and are provided with, all relevant information to support business activities

Collate findings from audits on personnel records/process and communicate outcomes to appropriate parties. Work with stakeholders to make improvements

Support the business and participate in the continuous review and development of competency related systems and processes to ensure they remain robust and fit-for-purpose

Collaborate with Training & Competency Coordinators and Administrator to ensure their monitoring/status reports on gaps are actioned

Take the lead in projects and initiatives as directed by the Training & Competency Manager and participate in external working parties as required

Liaise with the Company's external training partner to ensure all training requirements are met

Arrange and request training via the external training provider, for office staff

Review Training Matrices - providing support with training & certification queries

Lead the monthly reporting and administration process for obtaining training grants

Contribute to the team, sharing best practice and building a "one team" culture

Ensure participation in performance through the relevant processes and initiatives ensuring the appropriate knowledge and skills are in place

Liaise and support the Training & Competency Manager in supporting management, operations and employees to ensure awareness and involvement in key competency issues/initiatives

Organise and chair regular meetings with the appropriate teams to ensure integrated and cohesive solutions are developed and agreed by key stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications:

Experience and understanding of Competency processes and requirements

Previous experience in a T&C or L&D role

Experience in a fast paced work environment

Understanding of various industry Awarding Bodies

Able to work under own initiative & operate under pressure

Strong computer literacy

Understanding of the training and competency function

Good written and verbal communication skills
