Technical Safety Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Technical Safety Engineer on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Hampshire approx. 2 days a week with 3 days a week WFH. Long term contract work. 

A Senior Engineer with competencies in technical safety is required to be involved on various projects, supporting the Project Discipline Lead Engineer.
Projects will vary from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED. Projects can be relevant to onshore/offshore oil/gas production facilities, with special focus on LNG and renewables production facilities.

Undertake analysis, calculations and/or engineering studies delegated as his/her responsibility on a project (i.e., produce technical safety deliverables) in accordance with Company Standards/Procedures and international codes/standards. The successful candidate shall have experience in:
o Loss Prevention Activities, (e.g., F&G Design, Active/Passive Fire Protection, Hazardous Area Classification).
o Risk Analysis (e.g., QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, Flare/Vent Studies).
o Development of HSE related Philosophies.
o Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Studies.
o HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessment.
 Supervise the activities of subordinates assigned

Qualifications 
Degree in relevant engineering discipline, for example Chemical Engineering, accredited by the relevant chartered engineering institute (for example, the IChemE).
 Chartered Engineer or certified process safety practitioner status preferred.
