Position: Technical Safety Coordinator
Location: Milan, Italy
Reporting to: Project Manager / HSE Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Safety Coordinator to manage all safety engineering and technical safety activities across design, construction, installation, and operation phases. The role ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE policies, while overseeing risk assessments, safety reviews, and design safety integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and review safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA, Fire & Explosion Analysis, Escape & Evacuation).
  • Ensure safety integration in engineering design, including layouts, process systems, ESD, fire & gas detection, and escape routes.
  • Review and approve safety deliverables from EPC contractors and vendors.
  • Act as the focal point for technical safety with project teams, contractors, clients, classification societies, and regulators.
  • Maintain risk registers, track safety actions, and lead formal safety assessments.
  • Support preparation of Safety Philosophies and ensure compliance with safety design during construction and offshore operations.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Engineering.
  • Experience in technical safety, including offshore.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore safety engineering, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety management systems.
  • Familiarity with API, IEC, ISO, NFPA, IMO, and OGP standards.
  • Proficiency in safety analysis tools (PHAST, FLACS, FRED, PIPESIM, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
