Our client is a signifiant North Sea operator business recruiting for the position of Tax Manager, based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent role with hybrid working available. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all direct tax compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Handle correspondence and interactions with HMRC.
  • Oversee transfer pricing requirements and related documentation.
  • Provide direct tax advice to the business on projects, transactions, and operational decisions.
  • Develop and enhance processes to capture tax‑relevant information and improve overall compliance.
  • Strengthen tax risk provisioning through improved controls and reporting mechanisms.
  • Contribute to automation and wider digitalisation initiatives within the tax function.
  • Manage and coordinate all engagements with external advisors on direct tax matters.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of the day‑to‑day application of the tax governance framework to ensure consistent and effective execution.
 
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently on your own initiative and communicate financial and tax information at a variety of levels
  • Excellent time management skills, and (3) the ability to prioritise appropriately whilst maintaining a level of flexibility to respond to new requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the organisation
  • Proven computer literacy with knowledge of Word, Excel and corporation tax software. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Qualified (or part qualified) in accounting and/or tax.
