Role Overview
As a Systems Specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the functionality of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Shutdown Systems, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). You'll also provide technical support, carry out maintenance routines, and ensure compliance with safety and change management protocols.

Role Overview
As a Systems Specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the functionality of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Shutdown Systems, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). You'll also provide technical support, carry out maintenance routines, and ensure compliance with safety and change management protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational integrity of onshore control systems (DCS, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs).
- Monitor system performance and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Conduct routine health checks, backups, and antivirus updates on systems.
- Support multidiscipline maintenance tasks and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Provide on-call support for system emergencies and troubleshoot faults with minimal supervision.
- Assist in configuration changes, upgrades, and expansions of control system hardware/software.
- Work with OEMs and vendors for system support and maintenance.
- Contribute to incident investigations, reporting, and alarm trend analysis.
- Follow strict Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and reporting procedures.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proior work experience in oil & gas with hands-on control systems maintenance.
- Proven experience in hydrocarbon processing and utilities plant operations.
- Proficient with Honeywell DCS, FSC, Safety Manager, RTUs, and SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell ControlLogix, Triconex, RS-View HMI.
- Knowledge of DeviceNet, ControlNet, PLC programming.
- Familiarity with turbine/compressor controls, Bentley Nevada, SKF magnetic systems.
- Basic troubleshooting of Windows OS platforms.
- UAE Driving License (preferred).
