Job Title: Structural Engineer (Azerbaijani nationals only)


Structural Engineer based in Baku, Azerbaijan who will be responsible for:

  • Be aware of all project technical standards, procedures and specifications. And ensure designs are compliant
  • Produce engineering designs, supporting calculations and sketches.
  • Establish all multi-discipline data required to carry out structural design.
  • Perform structural computer analyses as required.
  • Check drawings produced from sketches.
  • Adopt a fit-for-purpose approach and adapt design methodology to suit the required end product.
  • Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities are adhered to and understood
  • Review clients Scopes of Work for completeness and clarity of intent.
  • Liaise with client groups on points requiring clarification and establish an agreed 'Basis of Definition'
  • Review and approve structural deliverables prepared by the Contractor including Technical Specifications, Design Basis documents, Primary/Secondary steel designs, structural framing / general arrangement drawings, detailed design calculations and analyses, design reports, procedures, data sheets, and detailed drawings of jackets, piles etc.
  • Review and approve all relevant Technical Queries, Design Changes and Technical Deviation Requests raised by the Contractor in a timely manner
  • Issue instructions to proceed with the work to all relevant project personnel.
  • Instigate and conduct project "kick off" meetings.
  • Co-ordinate engineering design work to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager/Engineering Manager to agree schedule for issue of engineering deliverables.
  • Investigate Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment studies and design reviews at appropriate stage.

What we are looking for:

  • You will be an experienced Structural Engineer having managed various assets in the Upstream Offshore and Onshore environment.
  • MSc or MEng in Civil or Structural engineering
