Activities
The Job Holder shall:
Project Control & Contract
• Ensure SPS package contracts (EPFS + Services) are efficiently controlled with regards to progress monitoring, equipment delivery, processing and payment of invoices, cost reporting, detailed engineering documentation administration, package reporting, commercial matters all in line with the T&Cs of the contract and instruction from Project PMT.
• Promote rigor in rationale (validation and completeness of information before starting work is paramount) and creativity in solutions, but challenge if the work is not completed to satisfaction.
• Monitor progress (using PRIMAVERA) on a weekly and monthly basis and interact closely with Contractor’s planners as necessary.
• Follow up delivery of equipment and ensure that relevant interim certificates (when the conditions are met) are duly signed.
• Control invoices: validate progress, milestones, reimbursable, VOs, team mission expenses etc., and process them.
• Prepare and review letters exchanged with Contractor (keep the correspondence register up to date).
• Log contract execution expenditure and report to PMT.
• Forecast payments accurately with Contracts and prepare Package Budget S-curve, to compare performed vs planned and share reports with SPS Package Manager, in coordination with Project Control team.
• Administrate detailed engineering documentation, transmittal from/to contractors, PMT and affiliate and monitor COMPANY responses ensuring they are in line with contract set time frame.
• Manage general administrative matters for the SPS package.
• Liaise with C&P to ensure validation of variation orders prior to execution (in collaboration with SPS Package Manager, SPS Engineering Lead, SPS Technical Leads and In-Country team.
• Challenge Contractors variation orders to protect COMPANY interests while ensuring equitable application of the contract terms.
• Close out COMPANY audit reviews.
• Manage exchanges with Project HR with regards to package manpower plan.
Team Management:
• Coordinate all the Project Control activities for the SPS Package, by informing and supporting SPS and assisting Package Manager with personnel administration, recruitment etc..
• Promote good relationship between SPS Contractor and COMPANY SPS team.
Reporting:
• Prepare package activities report for submission to PMT.
• Attend Package monthly meetings.
• Attend Project Control weekly meetings
• Report Package Control activities to SPS Package Manager and to Project Control Manager.
• Work closely with all other COMPANY team members and Contractor’s counterparts to ensure correct information is transmitted.
HSE responsibilities:
• Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System
• Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
• Know responsibilities to environmental issues in the work areas
• Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the
• performance of his own task
• As such the duties and areas of authority are:
• Follow HSE instructions given by Managers and supervisory personnel
• Assure of the safety of his work site before commencing work
• Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger
• Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution
• Use tools, equipment and their safeguards correctly
• Use the provided means of personal protection correctly
• Leave the workplace behind correct and orderly, upon job completion – enforce the Company Clean Desk policy
• Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor
• Participate actively in HSE meetings, safety talks, toolboxes, training sessions and drills
• Co-operate actively in the execution of the HSE plans
Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor.

Accountabilities
• Shall assist the SPS Package Manager in the organization, management and control of the package and deputize for him as and when necessary.
• Shall perform, supervise, coordinate and control all necessary Package Project Control activities (contracts, schedule, budget, HR, Risks, IS/IT, documentation, reporting), to ensure that they are performed in accordance with the Company Rules, OT/TL/PJC Guidelines and Procedures using the best working practices and that any deviation to internal and external commitments are immediately reported to SPS Package Manager
• Shall ensure that the Package Project Control activities are fully optimized.
Qualifications/Experience required
Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent.
Professional experience: 10 to 15 years.
Experience of contract, cost and planning administration/control: 5 to 10 years.
Experience in management of multicultural team within the international environment.
Languages: Bi‐lingual or at least very familiar with English and French languages.
Good communication and good knowledge of negotiations are essential.
