Activities
The SPS Engineering Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all SPS engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant project delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
• The SPS Engineering Lead shall:
• Lead all SPS engineering activities during EPFS execution.
• Act as the primary engineering focal point for Subsea Trees, Wellheads, Running Tools, Installation Equipment and associated SPS hardware and control systems.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to SPS engineers and discipline specialists.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables are issued, reviewed and approved in accordance with project schedules.
• Manage contractor engineering performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Lead technical review meetings with Contractors, Suppliers and Project Stakeholders.
• Ensure engineering activities support procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, commissioning and handover requirements.
• Oversee resolution of technical queries, non-conformances, concessions and design deviations.
• Ensure all equipment designs remain compliant with project specifications, international codes and industry standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary interface management activities involving subsea controls, flowlines, pipelines, structures, drilling, completions and operations teams.
• Coordinate engineering support for supplier manufacturing, FAT, SIT, EFAT, IST and offshore installation campaigns.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, analyses, procedures and design documentation.
• Ensure lessons learned and operational requirements are incorporated into project execution.
• Lead technical risk identification, mitigation and management activities.
• Support project management with technical decision-making and risk-based evaluations.
• Ensure readiness of SPS systems for commissioning, start-up and project handover.
• Support development of execution strategies, fabrication plans and installation methodologies.
• Participate in procurement activities including technical bid evaluations, supplier assessments and equipment qualification reviews.
• Ensure technical interfaces with Drilling, Completions and Offshore Operations are effectively managed.
• Act as the custodian of SPS engineering technical integrity throughout project execution.
Team Leadership Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise SPS engineering personnel assigned to the project.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions.
• Provide technical mentoring and competency development.
• Assign engineering deliverables and monitor progress.
• Ensure consistent engineering practices and adherence to company procedures.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
HSE responsibilities:

• Know responsibilities to environmental issues in the work areas

Accountabilities
• Accountable for technical delivery of the SPS package during EPFS execution.
• Ensure SPS engineering deliverables support procurement, fabrication, testing and installation milestones.
• Ensure engineering activities are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage technical interfaces between SPS package stakeholders.
• Ensure supplier and contractor engineering performance meets contractual requirements.
• Drive closure of technical actions, design reviews and project assurance activities.
• Support package management in achieving overall project objectives.
• Provide leadership in technical risk management and engineering decision making.
• Ensure successful transition from engineering into fabrication, installation, commissioning and handover.
Qualifications/Experience required
Minimum Education: Engineer/ Master Drilling, Subsea, Mechanical Engineering degree or other relevant and recognized qualification, have a Subsea Hardware, Subsea Drilling or Engineering Management background, including detailed knowledge of subsea systems and a minimum of 15 years’ experience of working in subsea projects and proven experience in major oil and gas project, preferably in Offshore large project.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Subsea Production Systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading SPS engineering teams on major offshore developments.
• Significant experience with Subsea Trees, Wellheads, Running Tools and SPS hardware package delivery.
• Strong knowledge of EPC / EPFS project execution.
• Experience managing suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Proven involvement in procurement, fabrication, testing and offshore installation phases.
• Strong understanding of API, ISO, DNV and subsea industry standards.
• Experience participating in FAT, SIT, EFAT and offshore commissioning activities.
• Previous experience with Baker Hughes SPS systems is advantageous.
• Previous experience with TotalEnergies is advantageous
• Experience in Caspian Sea developments is beneficial.
• Proven capability to lead engineering teams and manage technical decision-making processes.
Language Requirements :
• Fluent English is mandatory.
