Overview
An experienced Solution Architect is required to support the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise IT solutions within a complex digital environment. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across projects, ensuring solutions align with established enterprise standards, reference architectures, and strategic technology direction.
The role involves close collaboration with project teams, architects, analysts, and technical stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions are designed and implemented.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Project Delivery
- Provide solution architecture leadership, consultancy, and assurance across IT projects to ensure solutions are well-designed and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and reference models.
- Act as the primary architecture contact for assigned IT projects.
- Take accountability for the end-to-end architecture of solutions from design through to successful deployment.
- Integrate key architecture domains within solutions, including:
- Business processes
- Data architecture
- Application architecture
- Technical infrastructure
- Information security
- Ensure all solution architecture documentation is produced using approved templates and enterprise architecture tooling.
- Review and approve detailed solution designs developed by project teams.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to designers, analysts, and project teams during solution design phases.
- Support architecture governance through participation in architecture review processes.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and improvement of enterprise reference models.
- Elevate project-level deliverables into conceptual and logical architecture models within enterprise architecture repositories.
- Ensure project solutions align with the latest technology standards, services, and architectural guidelines.
- Monitor emerging technology trends and market developments and apply this knowledge to solution design.
- Promote future-ready architecture that supports scalability, flexibility, and long-term maintainability.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and architectural patterns where appropriate.
- Actively contribute to the architecture community, sharing best practices and promoting architectural governance.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to address architectural challenges and support strategic improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
Required Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in IT, including exposure to solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering solution architecture within complex digital or enterprise IT environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
Experience supporting functions such as Legal, compliance, corporate affairs, or communications platforms would be advantageous.
Familiarity with systems supporting areas such as:
- Service and case management platforms
- Entity or records management systems
- Digital content management
- Internal and external communications platforms
- Strong understanding of enterprise and application architecture in multi-disciplinary IT environments.
- Experience designing and implementing SaaS solutions and cloud-based platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with API-led integration and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Familiarity with data platforms, analytics environments, and data science capabilities.
- Understanding of authentication, connectivity, and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
- Experience working within Agile and product-centric delivery environments.
- Experience using enterprise architecture tooling to create and maintain architecture artefacts.
- Familiarity with frameworks and modelling standards such as:
- TOGAF
- ArchiMate
- Enterprise architecture modelling platforms
