Are you a Site Engineer looking to work on a diverse range of civil engineering and construction projects across the Highlands? Our client is a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects throughout the Inverness and Morayshire region. Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. A temporary contract option may also be considered for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Working OnAs a Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a variety of projects, including:
  • New-build schools and educational facilities
  • Retail and commercial developments
  • Infrastructure and civil engineering works
  • Public sector projects
  • Groundworks, drainage and external works packages
You'll be involved from project start through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Managing and maintaining site control and survey data using modern surveying equipment.
  • Ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed and documented.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate site records, reports and as-built information.
  • Liaising closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Monitoring progress and identifying potential issues before they impact programme delivery.
  • Supporting the commercial team with measurement and valuation information where required.
  • Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You Have
  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, groundworks or construction projects.
  • Proficiency with setting out equipment such as Leica, Trimble or Topcon.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with project stakeholders.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
Desirable Experience
  • Experience delivering education, retail or commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying software.
  • CSCS card and relevant site certifications.

Location: Projects are located throughout Inverness, Morayshire and surrounding areas. Flexibility to travel between sites is required.
