We currently have an opportunity for a SHES Lead (COMP2/Offshore) role. This position is based in Qatar offshore.

Contract duration: 36 months
Working Hours/Day* 12 Hours/Day
Working Days/Week* 7 days/week
Working Days/Month* 28 days/month
Leave Rotation* 28 days on/28 days off
Job Purpose
Advise the Offshore team on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor’s implementation of the Project Approved SHES (Safety, Health, Environmental and Security) Management System. Report on the EPC Contractors SHES performance and identify recommendations for improvement to ensure safe execution of works during the Offshore phase.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Analysing various forms of SHES leading and lagging indicator data effectively and deciding on which information is of value to the Project.
Communication with and influencing of various internal and external organizations/departments in a multi-cultural environment.
Manages the resolution of problems in an environment where conflicting priorities may exist.
Key Job Accountabilities
Implement the Project SHES Plans and ensure the effective implementation of the Contractors’ Project SHES Management System and Procedures during T&I activities.
Check and verify the implementation of the Project SHES Risk Management Program to ensure that project-specific risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to enable project activities to be executed safely and efficiently.
Conduct HSE Audit and Verification Programs to ensure that risk controls and barriers are properly implemented covering all work activity and locations.
Analyse implementation of the HSE Observation Program during the works to identify safe and at-risk behaviours and ensure necessary safety improvements are identified and implemented.
Check to effectiveness of implementation of the EPC Contractors HSE Training Program to ensure competency of workforce and understanding of safe working practices.
Coordinate with EPC Contractor Emergency Response Team to ensuring the effective implementation of the EPC Contractor Emergency Response Plan.
Assure the EPC Contractor implements their Occupational Health Program to ensure the health and wellbeing of project team with particular focus during potential Heat Stress periods.
Advise and participate in project Incident Investigations to ensure that incidents and near misses are correctly identified, recorded, investigated, and resolved to ensure safe working practices are maintained and improved.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in sciences, safety, health, environment, security, or engineering or NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, SHES related NVQ level 5, or British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
Knowledge and/or Experience
8 years experience in SHES in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel during offshore T&I works.
Technical and Business Skills
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
Knowledge of relevant SHES management systems and programs.
