SHES Division Manager

We are seeking an experienced SHES Division Manager to provide strategic leadership for the implementation, governance and continual improvement of the Project Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) Management System.

The role will provide SHES leadership, expert advice, assurance and support throughout all project phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and close-out. The position will also support Contractor mobilisation readiness and ensure effective implementation of contractual, regulatory and corporate SHES requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Support Contractor onboarding and the implementation of the SHES Management System.
Facilitate the timely review and approval of SHES deliverables.
Provide appropriate oversight of Contractors, Vendors and Subcontractors to ensure SHES requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.
Monitor Contractor SHES performance against agreed performance indicators and provide strategic advice for improvement.
Identify and report areas of concern to project leadership and Contractor management.
Provide guidance to project leadership to ensure effective engagement in the overall SHES programme.
Support Construction Managers, Area Managers and field SHES teams in integrating SHES standards across project work areas.
Participate in management walk-throughs, toolbox meetings, steering committee meetings, welfare activities and incident review meetings.
Support risk management activities and workshops, including environmental, health, safety and security risk assessments.
Support pre-commissioning, commissioning and SIMOPS risk assessments.
Participate in external-party audits and inspections as the SHES representative for the assigned contract scope.
Coordinate SHES activities across project areas to maintain consistent SHES performance.
Liaise with Contractor SHES management and project SHES teams to resolve SHES-related issues.
Review, comment on and approve relevant Contractor procedures and specifications.
Participate in SHES monitoring programmes and support continual improvement of the SHES Management System.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Safety, Health, Environment, Security or Engineering.
Minimum 12 years of experience in SHES within the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory, acting or service/vendor oversight role.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors or Service Companies.
Experience working within large-scale operating organisations and major project environments.
Advanced knowledge of relevant SHES management systems and programmes.
International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Clients.
Experience in the construction of onshore production facilities, including greenfield and brownfield projects.
Sound knowledge of project execution processes within large-scale projects, including projects with expenditure exceeding US$1 billion.
